As a big fan of Canadian Gordon Pinsent, I'm looking forward to this new, up-coming short film by Stephen Dunn: Life Doesn't Frighten Me.
And though, I must admit, I haven't always been a fan of Canadian East Coast coming-of-age stories (Pinsent's own Heyday! is a far example.) but they've been growing on me since moving to Montreal.
(Lately a lot of new forms of Canadian cinema have been growing on me for that matter. And I find that my writing is being strongly influenced by that. That's a good thing, I think.)
In any case, keep your eyes peeled for this one, I'll let you know anything the minute I know it...
